Credits for the services behind your project: CI runners, artifact storage, package distribution, and production workloads, available via API, CLI, and Terraform.
Starter credits are issued as a coupon code by email. Growth and Flagship credits are allocated manually, in limited numbers, after a usage review. Credits are valid for 12 months and apply to Vultr core cloud services only. GPU products are excluded. Stars are counted on recognized public repository hosts.

Not covered: Cloud GPU, and GPU Bare Metal products. These are billed at standard rates. Growth and Flagship projects get a named contact on the Vultr open source team.
What we ask in return
No. Credits cover core cloud services only. Cloud GPU, GPU Bare Metal, Serverless Inference, and other AI/ML products are excluded and billed at standard rates. If your project has a GPU requirement, contact oss@vultr.com
Yes. Credits apply to the account, not to a provisioning method. Use the Vultr API, CLI, Terraform Platform, or control panel.
Potentially. Stars are one signal, counted on recoginized hosting platforms, and weighed with downloads, deployments, and dependent projects. Include that context in your application.
12 months from issue. Renewal requires a new application and is subject to review. You'll be notified before expiry and before any decision not to renew takes effect.
Yes. Starter coupon codes work on new or existing accounts. Growth and Flagship credits are applied directly by the Vultr team.
