Deploy NetBird in a Few Clicks
NetBird Server is available through the Vultr Marketplace. Choose your Vultr instance, deploy NetBird, configure your domain, and connect your first peer.
What does NetBird add to WireGuard?
WireGuard provides the tunnel, but managing a growing network means handling peers, keys, routes, and configuration manually. NetBird adds a control plane to manage the network from one place. The self-hosted stack is available through the Vultr Marketplace and runs on infrastructure you control.
What Does the Marketplace App Deploy?
The NetBird Marketplace App deploys the complete self-hosted stack on a single Vultr instance. It includes the NetBird Server, Dashboard, Proxy, Traefik, and CrowdSec, providing the control plane, management interface, TLS, proxying, and inbound protection needed to run the network.
Do I Need to Open Ports on Every Machine?
No. Only the NetBird instance needs to be publicly reachable. Other machines connect outbound and establish encrypted peer connections, keeping internal infrastructure off the public internet without port forwarding, static IP whitelisting, or a VPN gateway in the middle of the traffic.
Looking for Private Networking Without Open Ports on Every Machine?
Connect Your Infrastructure with Netbird on Vultr
Deploy NetBird from the Vultr Marketplace and connect Vultr instances, private infrastructure, and remote devices through an identity-based private network built on WireGuard®.
What Can You Connect with NetBird?
One Network, Everywhere You Run
Your infrastructure isn’t all in one place. Connect Vultr instances, private infrastructure, remote sites, and end-user devices through a single private network with consistent access policies.

Connect Distributed Servers
Run servers across Vultr regions without managing separate VPN configurations for each location.
Access Internal Services
Keep databases, APIs, dashboards, and development environments private without exposing them to the public internet.
Connect Remote Teams
Give engineers secure access to private infrastructure without routing all traffic through a traditional VPN gateway.
Build Private AI Infrastructure
Connect AI applications, agents, MCP servers, databases, and supporting services on the same private network.
Connectivity
Connect machines directly over WireGuard® whenever possible. NetBird handles peer discovery, NAT traversal, and relay when a direct path isn't available.
Identity
Use your existing OIDC provider or start with the built-in user store. Authenticate users through the identity system already in place.
Access Control
Control who can reach what. Group users and machines, then define access to specific resources and ports.
Security
Check the device before granting access. Use posture checks to evaluate things like OS, client version, country, IP range, or security-agent status.
Operations
Manage the network from one dashboard or automate it through the API and Terraform provider. The self-hosted stack runs on infrastructure you control.
