Vultr VX1 supports agentic AI by offloading orchestration, workflow management, and data processing pipelines from GPUs, enabling GPUs to operate more efficiently. Vultr VX1 also supports AI sandboxes for secure testing and execution of AI agent solutions.
Vultr VX1 provides capable cloud infrastructure that can be used to orchestrate GPU clusters for agentic AI systems, operate data processing pipelines to feed relevant and timely context data, provide AI sandboxes for secure testing and execution of agent code, call tools and APIs for agents to access systems, and power the tools and databases agents act upon to accomplish their goals.
Vultr VX1 supports nested virtualization, enabling secure provisioning of microVMs for AI sandboxes. AI agents can use these microVMs to write, test, and deploy code without the risk of potentially malicious code escaping the sandbox or compromising the host.
Cloud CPU solutions for AI sandboxes must support hardware-assisted virtualization for secure agent execution, high-throughput networking for data pipelines that move at pace, fast deployment, high core density to support large numbers of simultaneous sandboxes, and affordable performance. Vultr VX1 is well-suited for agentic AI and agentic sandboxes, featuring all of these elements.
AI sandboxes, run on cloud compute infrastructure such as Vultr VX1, create ephemeral, isolated execution environments that prevent bad code, infinite loops, or prompt injection attacks from breaching core infrastructure. Hardware-assisted virtualization for microVMs is essential because it provides isolation from the host system at the kernel level.
Traditional AI workloads, such as Generative AI chatbots, have linear architectures in which users submit prompts and models hosted on GPUs respond. Agentic AI is multistep and non-linear, relying heavily on cloud CPUs like Vultr VX1 to handle portions of agent execution loops, such as context retrieval and agent sandbox execution.
GPU starvation occurs when high-cost GPUs sit idle waiting for other systems to feed data or perform tasks. Efficient data processing pipelines, powered by compute resources like Vultr VX1, provide the data GPUs need at a pace to avoid GPU starvation.
Cloud CPUs like Vultr VX1 serve as the data backbone for AI applications, managing and structuring data ingestion, embedding generation, and vector database searches. This ensures clean, context-rich data is delivered to AI applications without pipeline bottlenecks.
Cloud CPUs like VX1 handle execution for AI agents, including making API requests, querying databases, reading files, and accessing applications, providing safe ways for AI agents to access and utilize outside tools.
Cloud CPUs like Vultr VX1 can be used as cluster head nodes, supporting GPU cluster orchestration and workload scheduling. This frees the full capacity of cloud GPUs for inference, improving the performance and efficiency of AI applications.
